A LOT to catch up on

We've been so busy these last couple of months that I haven't had any time to post any of our fun activities! I'm going to try to catch up!

Memorial Weekend:
We spent Memorial Weekend in Rexburg (Oops, I mean Rigby) visiting Grandpa Brad, Grandma Laurie, Uncle Kevin and Rafiki (Kev's dog). We finally got to go see their new gorgeous house! Grandpa and Grandma bought new motorized cars for the kids to ride and that's what they spent the majority of their time doing. They live out in the country now, so the kids could ride all over. Tanner even got a chance to drive one!
After the big long weekend we all got sick and it went around and around for about 3 weeks! Yuck!

Rough Week Part II

I forgot to mention that our water heater wasn't working the night we got home from our trip. Aaron tried to light the pilot light, but it wouldn't stay lit. The next morning I called a repairman and luckily we just needed a new thermal coupler (whatever that is) instead of having to replace our whole heater. Just in case this ever happens to any of you ... there are companies out there that will replace your thermal coupler for around $100. DO NOT pay much more than that for it! I, of course, had to learn this lesson the hard way.

Rough Week!

Aaron and I took the kids up to Rigby to Grandpa Brad and Grandma Laurie's new house for the long Memorial weekend. We had so much fun and I'm excited to post some pictures, but it may have to wait till next week! We played so hard everyday and by the time we came home, we were exhausted and started getting sick. Brock started getting sick while we were there, but it seemed like his allergies were just acting up. The day after we came home, he woke up from his nap screaming, so I ran him to the doctor and found that he had an earache in both ears. Poor kid! On Wednesday, we had to take him up to Primary Children's Hospital for minor surgery (nothing to do with his ears). He started to feel a lot better, but then Carter got a fever and a really bad cold and is still trying to kick it. Having sick kids is so exhausting! I haven't even finished unpacking everything from our trip. I guess it's true ... You Play, You Pay!

The Big 2-9!

Yesterday was my 29th Birthday and boy am I feeling a year older today! We had quite the busy birthday! We played all day! (Even though they sang me Happy Birthday, I'm pretty sure the kids thought it was their big day! :-)

It was 90 degrees so we decided to go to the splash park for a picnic. Unfortunately the city hasn't turned the water on yet, but we still played on the toys and ate lunch. Poor Tanner was pooped!

Aaron came home from work early and we went out to dinner and then to Boondocks to play some put-put. The kids loved hitting the ball every now and then and throwing rocks in the water.

Tanner gave me lots of birthday loves!

Then we went home to open presents and eat my Super Moist Chocolate Bundt Cake. Aaron and the kids spoiled me as usual! He felt bad that I made my own cake, but I reassured him that it gave me the excuse to try this new recipe and use my new bundt pan that he gave me for Mother's Day. The recipe comes from my cousins' cooking blogs, My Kitchen Cafe and The Sister's Cafe. So delicious!

Thanks for all the gifts, phone calls and birthday wishes from all my family and friends. It was a wonderful day!

Totally Humbled!

So the other day after I had just finished working out (and feeling pretty good), my sweet little Carter walks in the room, takes one look at me and says:
"Mom, your bum doesn't fit in your work out pants."
Mom: "Really?"
Carter: "No, it's too big."
And he walks out of the room just as content as can be.
Thank you, kids, for always keeping me humble!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms and moms to be out there! I'm so grateful for my wonderful Mom and Mother-in-law! They do so many wonderful things for my family. Thank you! I love you!

This morning when I went to get Tanner out of bed, he sat straight up, gave me a big smile and said, ma ma ma. He has said it before and it may have just been a coincidence, but it still totally made my day! I love you Aubrey, Brock, Carter and Tanner. Thanks for being so sweet to me today (and everyday, of course!)
